  6. How come your services are cheaper than a dental office?
  7. Independent dental hygienists work independently from a dentist, so there are no additional expenses. We follow the current suggested fee guide from The Ontario Dental Hygienists’ Association. You may find this fee guide at www.odha.on.ca.
  8. Do you take x-rays?
  9. Independent dental hygienists in Ontario are not regulated to take x-rays. If necessary, we will refer you to a dentist.
  10. What are the side effects for teeth whitening?
  11. Some people experience temporary teeth sensitivity during the treatment. It usually goes away within 1-4 days after interruption or completion of treatment.
  12. Who is not a good candidate for teeth whitening?
  13. People with extensive crowns, bridges and fillings. People that have cracks in the enamel and sensitive root surfaces. Women who are nursing or pregnant.
